Corporate Financial Accountant

TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Corporate Financial Accountant within the Finance division at Pretoria, Gauteng.

Job Summary

This role involves managing financial reporting, general ledger administration, compliance activities, financial analysis, and accounting processes to support sound financial management across the organisation. The Corporate Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, maintaining effective financial controls, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.

Responsibilities and Duties* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements

• Support month-end and year-end accounting and reporting processes
• Maintain, review, and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items
• Ensure accounting transactions are accurately recorded and supported by appropriate documentation
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow administration
• Prepare and support tax submissions and statutory reporting requirements
• Support internal and external audits through the preparation of reports and supporting documentation
• Monitor compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
• Compile financial analyses and management reports to support business decision-making
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting systems

Qualifications and Skills

• Matric / Grade 12 with Accounting and Mathematics
• BCom Accounting, BCom Financial Accounting, or equivalent qualification
• Professional accounting designation or progress towards a professional designation (advantageous)
• 3-5 years' experience in financial accounting, financial reporting, or a related accounting environment
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and statutory compliance requirements
• Experience with general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end processes
• Experience supporting audits, budgeting, and financial analysis activities
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical abilities
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment
• Strong organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
