Cost & Management Accountant | Up to R 650 000.00 | Estcourt, KZN

A leading textile manufacturing company in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands is looking for a Cost & Management Accountant to join its Finance Team and play a key role in driving cost control, financial accuracy and operational efficiency .
WHY THIS ROLE?
This is more than a month-end accounting position. It's an opportunity to get close to the heart of a manufacturing operation , understand what drives costs, improve controls and contribute directly to the organisation's financial performance.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
You'll take ownership of key cost and management accounting activities, including:
✔️ Month-end processing & reconciliation
✔️ Cost analysis, reporting & variance investigations
✔️ Inventory management & control
✔️ Coordinating cycle counts & month-end stock counts
✔️ Setting up & maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) - Must have
✔️ Identifying and supporting cost-saving initiatives
✔️ Activity based costing & WIPS - Must have
✔️ Providing broader financial and accounting support to the organisation
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Qualification:
🔹 Bcom in Cost & Management Accounting, Financial Accounting or a related field
Experience & Skills:
🔹 Manufacturing / costing experience must have
🔹 Experience with an ERP system – Sage X3, Syspro or Pastel
🔹 Strong Excel skills – Pivot Tables & advanced functions
🔹 Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
🔹 Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
🔹 Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
🔹 High level of integrity & confidentiality
🔹 Strong communication and interpersonal skills
🔹 Comfortable working with people across different levels and backgrounds
🔹 A true team player who is adaptable and hands-on
