Job description
We’re looking for a sharp, detail-driven Cost Estimator who can turn creative ideas into clear, workable numbers. From TTL campaigns and retail store rollouts to POS, shopper activations, print, signage, fabrication and installations, you’ll help our teams price work accurately, protect margins and keep great ideas deliverable.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare accurate, competitive estimates for TTL campaigns, retail environments, POS, shopper marketing, activations, print, display, signage, fabrication, installations and production-led brand experiences.
- Interpret creative briefs, renders, drawings, store layouts, production specs, supplier inputs and timelines to understand the full delivery requirement.
- Cost materials, print, fabrication, labour, installation, logistics, transport, supplier mark-ups, agency fees and contingencies.
- Source, compare and challenge supplier quotes to ensure pricing is realistic, competitive and commercially sound.
- Prepare clear costing sheets, estimates, quotations and cost breakdowns for internal approval and client-facing discussions.
- Work closely with account management, project management, creative, studio, production, procurement, finance, suppliers and installers.
- Flag cost risks, assumptions, exclusions and production efficiencies early, before they become last-minute surprises.
- Maintain supplier pricing records, rate cards, templates and historical cost references.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience as a Cost Estimator, Production Estimator, Project Costing Specialist, Production Coordinator or similar role.
- Background in an advertising agency, retail production, print, fabrication, shopfitting, experiential, events, shopper marketing or production environment.
- Solid understanding of TTL campaign delivery across print, digital, retail store, POS, activation, installation and supplier-led requirements.
- Ability to read creative briefs, technical specs, production drawings, renders, store layouts and supplier quotes.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the confidence to question costs, test assumptions and protect margin.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including costing sheets, formulas, supplier comparisons, mark-ups and margin calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail, clear communication and the ability to manage multiple estimates, revisions and deadlines at once.
You’ll Do Well Here If You Are
- Commercially switched on, with a strong feel for profitability, supplier pricing, mark-ups and cost control.
- Comfortable in a fast-moving creative environment where briefs shift, timelines tighten and practical solutions matter.
- Organised, proactive, reliable and calm under pressure.
- Confident working with account teams, project managers, creatives, production partners, suppliers, installers and finance.
- Trusted with confidential pricing, client budgets, supplier rates and commercially sensitive information.
