Crane Truck Operator/ Driver

Introduction

BCB Solutions, a leading company specialising in Routine Road Maintenance (RRM) and Road Construction, invites suitably qualified and experienced Crane Truck Operators/ Drivers to submit their applications for inclusion in our database for current and future high value infrastructure projects across South Africa.

Successful candidates will be considered for appointment should BCB Solutions successfully acquire any relevant works.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate crane trucks and related lifting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Transport materials, machinery, and equipment to and from work sites.
• Load, unload, lift, and accurately position materials using the truck-mounted crane.
• Complete pre-start inspections and report mechanical or safety issues promptly.
• Secure loads properly before transportation.
• Follow lifting plans, site instructions, traffic regulations, and company safety procedures.
• Set up the vehicle and crane safely, including stabilizers and outriggers where required.
• Communicate effectively with ground crews, site supervisors, banksmen, and customers.
• Complete delivery records, inspection checklists, and other required documentation.
• Carry out basic maintenance checks and keep the truck and equipment clean and in good condition.
• Work in accordance with applicable occupational health and safety regulations.
• Represent BCB Solutions professionally when dealing with customers and members of the public.

Requirements

• Valid EC driver’s licence.
• Proven experience operating a truck-mounted crane or similar lifting equipment.
• Good knowledge of load securing, lifting procedures, and vehicle safety.
• Experience in construction, logistics, transport, or related industries is preferred.
• Clean and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to read and follow delivery instructions, lifting plans, and site procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime or occasional weekends when required.
• Strong safety awareness, reliability, and a professional attitude.

Pay: R39,59 - R101,52 per hour
