Introduction:
The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) is looking for an experienced and passionate Creative Services Manager to lead the creative vision behind a brand that makes a real difference. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how the NSRI is seen, heard and experienced across campaigns, marketing initiatives and communications. You will take the lead in translating ideas and strategic objectives into compelling creative solutions across a wide range of platforms and formats from concept to execution and production. Working across the organisation and with external creative partners, you will champion the NSRI’s visual identity, inspire high-quality creative work and ensure that every piece of communication is purposeful, engaging, consistent and impactful.
Minimum Requirements
- 5 or more years of relevant creative experience in an agency, in-house marketing team, or both.
- Demonstrated experience leading creative campaigns from concept through to execution across multiple channels.
- Portfolio of work spanning digital, print, video, social media, and experiential formats.
- Experience managing, directing, and developing creatives, copywriters and designers.
- Proven track record managing external creative suppliers, agencies, photographers, and production partners.
- Experience working in or with non-profit, cause-related, or fundraising organisations is advantageous.
- Relevant undergraduate qualification in graphic design, copywriting, visual communication, advertising, marketing communications, or a related creative field.
- Postgraduate qualification or additional certification in brand management, creative & art direction, digital marketing, UX/UI, or motion design.

Duties and Responsibilities
Creative strategy and execution
- Lead the creative strategy and development of campaigns and marketing initiatives across the organisation (e.g. fundraising, brand, competitions, retail)
- Develop strong creative concepts and approaches that help campaigns stand out and perform against brief
- Translate campaign objectives and briefs into compelling and effective visual and creative directions.
- Contribute creative thinking during campaign planning and briefing sessions.
- Drive innovation in storytelling, design approaches, video concepts, photography, and campaign executions.
- Identify opportunities to improve the emotional impact, creativity, and effectiveness of NSRI communications.
Channel & Media effectiveness
- Develop integrated creative solutions that can be delivered across all relevant platforms and channels including digital, print, video, social, retail, email and experiential
- Explore innovative approaches to content, creative formats, channels, audience engagement, and media execution.
- Collaborate with campaign owners to identify the most effective creative approaches for different platforms and audiences.
- Stay informed on creative, digital, social, and media trends relevant to the organisation.
Brand Alignment and Governance
- Ensure the integrity of the NSRI brand and visual identity in all creative work
- Establish consistency and quality across all creative and visual communication outputs.
- Provide direction to maintain and evolve brand guidelines and visual standards where required.
- Provide creative guidance to external agencies, production partners, photographers, videographers, and freelancers where required.
- Ensure all internally and externally produced creative aligns with approved brand standards and positioning.
- Provide creative review and feedback on campaign assets and brand communications.
- Support teams across the organisation with guidance on correct brand application and creative best practice.
Production Management and Execution
- Oversee the production and execution of creative assets across campaigns and marketing initiatives.
- Oversee in-house photography and videography production for campaigns, content, and organisational needs, directly or through the creative team.
- Maintain and continually build NSRI's digital asset library (photography, video, and creative files), ensuring proper cataloguing, rights management, and ease of access for teams across the organisation.
- Support the coordination of creative deliverables between internal teams and external suppliers.
- Ensure creative outputs are delivered accurately, professionally, and within agreed timelines.
- Support the production of campaign assets across all media and channels, including but not limited to digital, social media, ATL advertising, video, print collateral, presentations and pitch materials and events
- Ensure high standards of creative execution across all touchpoints.
Project and Resource Management
- Support the development and growth of internal creative capability.
- Allocate and prioritise creative workload in alignment with campaign timelines and departmental priorities.
- Ensure efficient creative workflows and production processes.
- Provide clear creative direction, feedback, and quality control on all design output.
- Review and approve final artwork prior to release or production where required.
