About the Role
Booksite (Pty) Ltd is looking for a detail-oriented and organised Credit Control Administrator to join our Finance team.
This role provides administrative support to the Credit Control function by ensuring the accurate processing, maintenance and administration of customer credit records. The successful candidate will work closely with the Credit Controller and Debtors Clerk to support efficient credit control processes while delivering excellent internal and external customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain organised filing systems for credit notes, journals, credit applications, PODs and related documentation.
- Process and scan month-end journals for Finance.
- Email credit notes, invoices and statements to customers.
- Review credit applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare documentation relating to approved credit limits.
- Prepare and distribute weekly reports.
- Monitor and manage the Credit Control query inbox.
- Upload invoices to customer/vendor portals.
- Assist with switchboard relief when required.
- Order office consumables and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure all credit control documentation is maintained in accordance with company policies.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric), preferably with Mathematics and Accounting.
- 2–3 years' administrative experience, preferably within a Credit Control, Debtors or Finance environment.
- Experience working on an ERP or accounting system.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong administrative, organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Advantageous
- Diploma or Certificate in Credit Management, Finance or Accounting.
