Job description
We are seeking an experienced Creditors Controller to manage the full accounts payable function in a fast-paced warehouse logistics environment. The role focuses on accurate invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, payment management, and compliance with financial controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full creditors/accounts payable function from invoice receipt to payment
- Verify, capture, and reconcile supplier invoices against Purchase Orders (POs), Goods Received Notes (GRNs), Proof of Deliveries (PODs), job cards, and supplier statements
- Perform three-way matching (Invoice, PO, GRN/POD) to ensure accuracy and prevent duplicate or incorrect payments
- Resolve invoice discrepancies, missing documentation, and supplier queries timeously
- Prepare and process weekly and monthly supplier payment runs, ensuring adherence to approval controls
- Allocate payments accurately and issue remittance advices to suppliers
- Perform monthly creditor reconciliations and manage creditor aging to ensure accounts are current
- Prepare month-end accruals for goods or services received but not yet invoiced
- Maintain accurate and organised records of all creditor-related documentation
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, VAT requirements, and audit standards
- Liaise with procurement, warehouse operations, and teams to ensure accurate purchasing and invoicing alignment
Minimum Requirements:
- 3–5 years’ experience in a creditors/accounts payable role
- Experience in warehouse/logistics environment (advantageous)
- Strong reconciliation and attention to detail
- Proficiency in accounting systems - Xero
