Creditors Controller (Accounts Payable)

• The employee will be responsible for reconciliation of general ledger and ensuring the clearance of outstanding items.
• The employee will be responsible for reconciliation Supplier statements and the collection of unprocessed documents.

Efficiencies

• Age Analysis.
• Work on age analysis to ensue aging is up to date.
• Should there be queries regarding vouchers etc., ensure that is escalated to the correct person i.e., Consultant + Team Leader Consultants + Supervisor + Team Leader + Ops Manager General Manager or Divisional Manager.
• Identify API’s to be developed that will aid in securing online content and the implementation thereof.
• Manage Travel IT content and work with Travel IT team to correct errors.
• Compliance to business process and procedures.
• Assist with any task assigned to you by management.
• Guide team members across different divisions to achieve the same business strategy.
• Ensure that payment terms are updated in Netsuite.
• Ensure that relationships are updated in Netsuite.
• Ensure that payments are loaded according to payment dates.
• Request budget 24 hours prior for nay large payment.
• Banking details and AVS checks completed and checked before payment.
• Escalate any difficult supplier and queries to Supervisor or Manager.

• No delayed payment to supplier.
• Ensure that all invoices and statements are received from supplier timeously.
• Ensure that all queries are attended to timeously.

• Effective, preventative steps in place to prevent losses.
• To avoid costs incurred by the Company due to errors, late payments or incomplete tasks. These costs will not be carried by Tourvest; Clause 15 of letter of appointment regarding company losses will be enforced.
• Cost conscious mindset for TTS and the supplier.

Client satisfaction & Relationships

• Ensure that 30-day accounts are kept current and negotiated terms are honoured with suppliers.
• Fully conversant with preferred partners and suppliers.
• Be polite and respectful.
• Queries to be responded to within 24 hours.
• · Feedback as to whether tasks are completed in time and also attitude towards assisting others.
• Any task given to you by your supervisor’s or above.
• Teamwork.

Minimum requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12.
• Finance degree or studying towards.
• 2 years of relevant experience.

Education:

• Bachelors (Preferred)

Experience:

• Accounts payable: 2 years (Required)
