Creditors Supervisor

LiquidCapital is seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Creditors Supervisor. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and highly skilled Creditors Team.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Creditors Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Creditors Supervisor is responsible for assisting the manager with managing the accounts payable department and is ultimately responsible for the efficient payment of all company invoices in a timely fashion.

The Creditors Supervisor is responsible assisting the staff and to ensure that all recons are submitted on time for payment.

DUTIES/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure all staff members submit recons on time and correctly
• Checking recons submitted by creditors
• Preparation of excel payment files
• Performing the month end process
• Maintain excellent working relationship with internal and external clients
• Creating efficienies within the department
• Ensure the Accounts Payable team are replying to all queries in a timely manner and all queries are dealt with correctly and efficiently
• Motivating and leading the team assigned to you
• Assist staff with difficult suppliers and reconciliations of creditors accounts
• Performance management of staff
• Ad-hoc duties to support the business

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Grade 12 /Matric
• A good knowledge & understanding of the Accounts Payable function with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable
• Proven experience within a high volume / high pressure accounts payable environment

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Excellent excel skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with accountants, clients and senior management
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work

• Deadline driven and strong sense of urgency
• Must be able to multi-task
• Must be able to work well under pressure and handle pressure
