Job Advert Summary

The Country Road Group is seeking a Paypoint Coordinator to join our team in order to deliver exceptional customer service by driving an efficient and effective till operation process. Being able to make a quick decision that would both benefit the Company as well as the customer. Driving the team to be able to engage with customers, as well as ensuring that all policies, procedures and processors are adhered to.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level

Relevant years experience within Retail

Available and flexible to work different shifts and across stores

Technological proficiency

Duties and Responsibilities

Delivers customer service

  • Deals with customer complaints, requests, and queries quickly and efficiently
  • Manages till queues effectively in accordance with company guidelines
  • Understand customer profile for the store thus increasing in-store sales.
  • Maximise all sales opportunities by adhering to Customer Service standards and focus on building the Country Road Group Brand and culture
  • Meet customer’s expectation by listening and advising customers on seasonal trends, product, fit and promotional activities.

Demonstrates Product Knowledge and selling skills

  • Provide excellent product knowledge to assist customers to make the right buying decision thus build customer loyalty
  • Knowledge of current season trends to best advise customersKnowledge of the ‘fit’ of items - body shapes and wardrobe building skills
  • Understand features and benefits of current season’s product to advise customers on product care
  • Share product knowledge and selling skills with team members Achievement of sales and unit targets
  • Offers customers alternatives to the customer if there is a product quality issue.

Effective management of stock

  • Ensure misplaced stock is always returned to the shop floor
  • Action IBT’s and follow up on outgoing and incoming transfers with stockroom
  • Action accurate requisitions for replenishment and follow up on any discrepancies
  • Action faulty merchandise in line with company procedure
  • Handling all product and resources with care in order to minimise wastage and expense
  • View and print reports for better understanding of stock movement and department growth

Effectively manage adherence to till policies and procedures

  • Performs till point authorizations speedily and efficiently when required.
  • Processes till transactions efficiently and effectively, in line with till policies and procedures.
  • Ensure till operators are aware of price changes and enter the correct price.
  • Gather information about discrepancies, consult with the individual and provide feedback to the person controlling the till discrepancy (TDC) process.
  • Check seal control process (float bag) to and from cash office and sign off to ensure that Woolworths’ policies and procedures are followed
  • Manage hygiene and cleanliness and ensure timeous removal of all merchandise at till points according to till policy and procedures.
  • Ensure all collected lost property is sent to the appropriate areas.

Works effectively in teams

  • Participate professionally within a team, working towards the achievement of Department / Store budgets & goals
  • Assist with training of till operators and ensure the appropriate competence and follow up on performance and identify development needs.

Identify and coordinate all activities in the till operations area and follow up with all staff on progress on tasks allocated to them.

  • Complying with Woolworths and Country Road Group policies & procedures
  • Participation in out of normal hour’s activities due to operational requirements
  • Attend and participation in Let’s talk meetings and training sessions
  • Ensure till operators are signed off on tills.

Minimise shrinkage

  • Strive to maximise store profit through shrinkage awareness. Attend shrinkage meetings and ensure coverage on the floor
  • Understand and apply red flag processes, policies and procedures
  • Monitor and report suspicious activity in your area to security or management
  • Proficient use of Woolworths Point of Sale system in line with the till discrepancy (TDC) policies
  • All processes and procedures are adhered to
  • Achieve data integrity through accurate stock management processes
  • Be visible on the sales floor
  • Understand and apply password and authorization policy
