Job Advert Summary

Woolworths is seeking a proactive Stockroom Controller to join our Country Road Group Retail Store. The stockroom controller is accountable To support the store management team in achieving sales targets and KPI’s. This is achieved through coordinating and performing all stock room activities in accordance with store policies to maintain an organised and hygienic stockroom and to optimise stock movement

This position is responsible for delivering agreed outputs in relation to the stockroom.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification; or equivalent NQF Level
• 2–3+ years’ experience in a fashion retail or customer-focused stockroom environment.
• A passion for the retail industry with an ambition to progress
• Experience using retail KPIs to drive performance
• Strong product knowledge with the ability to provide styling advice and create a positive customer experience.
• Previous experience acting as a stockroom assistant,supervisor, or informal stockroom controller.
• Ability to lead by example and influence team performance
• Experience delegating tasks and supporting daily store operations.
• Experience supporting, coaching, and motivating team members to achieve results.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate the accurate movement and administration of stock between stores, stockrooms and distribution centres, including IBTs, RTAs, RTVs and consolidations.
• Monitor and follow up on stock movements, courier collections and transfers to ensure they are completed within required timeframes.
• Coordinate the distribution of monthly launch products to Country Road Group stores.
• Ensure stock is correctly packed, handled, tagged and processed in line with company procedures.
• Review daily stock reports, investigate discrepancies and take corrective action to maintain stock accuracy.
• Maintain accurate stock records, filing systems and an organised, efficient stockroom environment.
• Provide regular feedback on stock levels, fast- and slow-moving lines and consolidation opportunities.
• Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with Stock Controllers, management and store teams.
• Provide operational support to stores and stockrooms during staff shortages, leave and peak trading periods.
• Support stocktakes, ad-hoc stock counts and shrinkage initiatives while identifying opportunities to minimise stock loss.
• Ensure compliance with all Country Road Group and Woolworths policies, including health and safety, risk, security and stock control procedures.
