• Minimum education level of Grade 12 or National Certificate equivalent.
• Basic computer skills for recording and communicating information clearly.
• Demonstrated customer service orientation with the ability to engage and assist customers professionally.
• Ability to work flexible shifts as required in a retail environment.
• Proven skills in product knowledge and the ability to advise customers accurately on product features and benefits.
• Experience in retail, culinary, or hospitality sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cooperatively within a team.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills, sufficient to handle stock management and administrative tasks.
• Reliability, honesty, and the ability to adhere to organisational policies including shrinkage control and workplace discipline.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging customers with product demonstrations and creating an inviting shopping experience.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge to accurately advise customers on features and benefits.
• Manage stock levels effectively by coordinating with management and replenishing tasting units as needed.
• Adhere to all health and safety standards, ensuring cleanliness and proper presentation of tasting stations and utensils.
• Support shrinkage control by monitoring suspicious activity and reporting any dishonesty or security concerns promptly.
• Work flexibly across various shifts to meet the operational needs of the store.
• Collaborate with team members and participate in weekly planning meetings to align with sales and promotional activities.
• Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality, appropriate dress code, and adherence to company policies.
• Handle administrative tasks related to stock management and recording customer interactions with basic computer skills.
