Minimum Requirements Minimum Requirements: Candidates should have at least a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent NQF level. Previous relevant work experience in a retail or customer service environment is preferred but not mandatory. Applicants must be available and flexible to work various shifts as required by the store. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to effectively assist and engage with customers. Attention to detail and the ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently at tills are required. Candidates should demonstrate honesty, reliability, and self-discipline, including adherence to dress code and punctuality policies. Basic selling skills and product knowledge are necessary to promote services and loyalty programs. Personal attributes such as the ability to remain calm under pressure, organize work effectively, and provide excellent customer service are important. Basic numeracy and literacy skills are required to manage till operations and customer interactions competently.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, providing exceptional service and expert product knowledge.
• Maintain stock levels by replenishing shelves, implementing stock rotation, and minimizing waste.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, hygiene, and food handling protocols at all times.
• Operate cashier and complete basic administrative tasks with required computer literacy.
• Identify and report quality issues, suspicious activity, and stock shrinkage promptly.
• Maintain department cleanliness and organize shelves according to planograms and company standards.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and communicate promotions or new lines effectively to customers.
• Work flexibly across various shifts to meet business needs while upholding professional behavior.
• Collaborate with team members, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment.
• Adhere strictly to company policies regarding attendance, dress code, and personal conduct.
