Customer Assistants

Role Purpose

A new beginning is here and we are excited to welcome passionate individuals to join our team as we prepare for the opening of our new store in Cornubia (KwaZulu-Natal). As a Customer Assistant, you will be at the heart of our customer experience helping customers, creating a welcoming environment and ensuring every interaction leaves a positive impression. You will play an important role in bringing our store to life and helping us build a strong team from the very first day.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a host/hostess to welcome customers, provide information on products and services through various channels, resolve queries, and build strong customer relationships.
• Accurately manage the cash desk, including processing orders, exchanges, refunds, and providing cash back on returned goods while recording all transactions.
• Onboard customers to the loyalty program, recommend additional products, and ensure processes minimize waiting times and enhance service quality.
• Ensure full compliance with internal control procedures and till policies while maintaining accurate records for all transactions.
• Liaise with relevant departments regarding returned goods and escalate any identified risks or issues to management in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
• Experience in a sales environment (retail) , with the ability to identify and act on upselling opportunities
• Practical experience managing cash desk transactions (cash, refunds, exchanges) with full accuracy
• Strong communication skills, conveying information clearly and with empathy
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
