Customer sales assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products or services
• Support the sales process from initial customer interaction through to completion
• Provide accurate information about products, promotions, and services
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and basic complaints with professionalism
• Maintain strong product knowledge to confidently assist customers
• Process sales transactions and keep records up to date where required
• Help ensure the sales area is organized, presentable, and customer-ready
• Work closely with team members to achieve daily and weekly sales goals
• Follow company policies, procedures, and customer service standards
• Assist with administrative and operational tasks that support the sales team
• Build positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business

Requirements

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly, confident, and professional approach to customer interaction
• Willingness to learn and develop sales and customer service skills
• Good listening skills and the ability to understand customer needs
• Basic numeracy and administrative skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
