Credit Repair Australia is looking for a confident and reliable Customer Service Agent based in South Africa to join our remote customer support team.
This is a phone-based customer service role supporting Australian customers who have made enquiries about resolving debt and credit-related issues. You will be the first point of contact for many prospective clients, helping to pre-qualify enquiries, collect accurate information, update our CRM system and support the wider team with appointment setting and customer follow-up.
This is a South Africa-based remote role supporting an Australian business. Employment, payroll and local onboarding will be managed through our appointed South African employment partner.
About the Role
As a Customer Service Agent, you will help ensure customers receive a professional, supportive and timely experience when they contact us. You will speak with prospective and existing customers, ask standard screening questions, update customer records accurately and direct enquiries to the right team or consultant.
This role would suit someone with strong phone communication skills, attention to detail and a calm, professional manner when dealing with sensitive customer situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for prospective customers making enquiries.
- Make and respond to calls and online enquiries from potential customers.
- Ask standard screening questions to help pre-qualify customer enquiries.
- Accurately input and update customer details in the CRM.
- Provide verbal and written support to consultants, including rescheduling appointments and liaising with customers.
- Respond to basic customer objections or complaints as required.
- Handle reception-style calls from existing customers.
- Direct phone calls or emails to the correct department or team member.
- Collect accurate information to ensure the customer is referred correctly.
- Ensure calls and correspondence are handled promptly and professionally.
- Participate in team meetings, coaching and training sessions.
- Receive and apply regular feedback from Australian based leaders and coaches.
About You
You will be a good fit if you have:
- Previous customer service, call centre, appointment setting or phone-based support experience.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- A professional and friendly phone manner.
- Good listening skills and the ability to ask clear questions.
- High attention to detail when entering information into systems.
- Confidence handling sensitive customer conversations.
- A reliable, dependable and team-focused approach.
- Ability to follow scripts, processes and compliance expectations.
- Strong ethics and respect for customer confidentiality.
- Experience using CRM systems or similar customer databases.
Experience in financial services, debt solutions, credit repair, banking, insurance, collections or similar customer support environments will be highly regarded.
Remote Work Requirements

- Ability to take customer calls without background noise or interruptions.
- Strong confidentiality and data-security awareness.
- Willingness to complete remote-work and privacy checks before starting.
Work Hours
This role supports an Australian business and will require availability across varying rostered shifts (including weekends, Saturdays and Sundays), between 9:00am and 8:00pm Australian Eastern Time (for South Africa, this is generally equivalent to approx. 1:00am to 12:00pm South Africa time.
Specific shifts will be confirmed during the recruitment process and may vary depending on business needs.
