Job description
Job Purpose:
We are seeking telesales/customer service agents to join our team supporting a range of clients within the UK market.
This role involves proactively engaging UK customers by phone to promote products and services, convert enquiries into sales, upsell and cross-sell complementary offerings, and deliver world-class customer service throughout the sales journey. The ideal candidate is target-driven, persuasive, tech-savvy, and available to work UK business hours.
Minimum requirements (Qualifications and Experience):
- Grade 12/Matric.
- Must have a clear credit and criminal record.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in telesales, outbound sales, or a target-driven customer service role.
- Previous experience working UK business hours (preferred)
- Experience selling in a product- or service-focused environment.
- Strong sales acumen with the ability to explain product features and benefits in a clear, persuasive, and user-friendly manner.
- Proven ability to identify customer needs and match them to the right product, including upselling and cross-selling
- Excellent written and verbal English communication.
- Availability to work UK business hours (shift patterns aligned to UK retail hours)
- Familiarity with call centre/telesales tools, CRM systems, and best practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office (advantageous).
- Ability to manage time effectively, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with KPIs and sales targets/quotas.
- Knowledge of relevant UK compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g. telesales/telemarketing regulations, GDPR, and consumer protection rules).
- Proven ability to build rapport, handle objections, close sales, and contribute to customer retention strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Make outbound sales calls and respond to inbound sales enquiries via phone, email, or digital platforms regarding a range of products and services.
- Promote and sell products and services, matching features and benefits to customer needs.
- Proactively identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximise order value
- Handle objections confidently and use persuasive techniques to convert enquiries into confirmed sales.
- Educate customers on product features, benefits, and optimal usage to support informed purchasing decisions
- Support customer satisfaction and retention through professional handling of orders, warranty questions, and service requests.
- Accurately process orders and log all interactions and customer records in internal CRM systems
- Achieve sales targets and performance metrics such as conversion rate, average order value, and customer satisfaction scores.
- Collaborate across departments to enhance the customer experience and sales process.
- Comply with internal processes, sales standards, and UK regulatory requirements (including telesales and GDPR rules)
- Contribute ideas to enhance sales processes and customer engagement
