We are looking for a Data Analyst Level 2 to join our team and play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive business performance and decision-making. The successful candidate will partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, deliver high-quality analyses and reporting, develop interactive data visualisations, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, a solid understanding of business and commercial objectives, and a commitment to data governance, security, and best practices to ensure data is leveraged effectively across the organisation.

As a Data Analyst Level 2, you will be responsible for interrogating data presented to you to find trends, insights, and information important to present to stakeholders. You will create single item analysis and build analysis and reporting into automated solutions. You will also follow processes to gather relevant requirements and build answers based on this and will interrogate data creatively with a critical mind in order to proactively understand the business and products.

Responsibilities:

Communication and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Communicate analytical findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders, tailoring messaging and presentation style to suit different audiences.
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, challenges, and information needs.
  • Develop a strong understanding of business operations and use this knowledge to identify opportunities where data-driven solutions can support business goals and improve performance.
  • Present insights and recommendations in a compelling manner that influences decision-making and drives action.

Data Analysis and Insight Delivery

  • Gather, analyse, and interpret business requirements to translate questions and challenges into analytical solutions.
  • Explore, organise, transform, and analyse data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights that support business decision-making.
  • Apply appropriate analytical and statistical techniques to answer business questions and uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards, visualisations, and reports that provide intuitive and meaningful insights to stakeholders.
  • Conduct investigations, experiments, and ad hoc analyses using a variety of statistical methodologies and analytical tools.
  • Ensure the accuracy, quality, and relevance of analytical outputs and recommendations.

Business and Commercial Understanding

  • Develop a strong understanding of the commercial, operational, and gaming environment in which the business operates.
  • Anticipate stakeholder needs by identifying gaps in business questions and proactively providing additional insights that add value.
  • Use business context to interpret data effectively and make recommendations that support strategic and operational objectives.
  • Contribute to discussions by providing data-driven perspectives and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Data Governance and Compliance

  • Adhere to established data governance, data ownership, privacy, and security standards across all analytical activities.
  • Ensure data is managed, accessed, and utilised in accordance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the continuous improvement of data governance practices, processes, and controls where necessary.
  • Promote data integrity, consistency, and responsible data usage across the organisation.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed on emerging analytical methodologies, tools, and best practices to enhance analytical capability and business value.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, analytical processes, and data utilisation within the organisation.
  • Contribute to the development of analytical standards and best practices within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Sciences, Physics, Finance, Economics or Engineering
  • At least 2 years of work experience in an analytics role, and/or ability to demonstrate analytical skills
  • Intermediate experience with SQL (SSMS/Snowflake)
  • Intermediate experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau
  • Experience with a programming language such as R, Python and any

other statistical tool

  • Experience in creating interactive visualisation and reports to provide intuitive insights
  • Experience in communicating technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
