Data Analyst

JOB PURPOSE:

This role will focus on data preparation and analysis to unlock the power of solving complex Supply Chain opportunities and provide insights for decision making. This role forms part of creating a digital Supply Chain for Pepkor Value Chain Solutions.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

● Relevant degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Statistics or similar

● Valid Driver’s License with own transport

● 3 years’ experience in Data Analysis

● Experience in Business Intelligence Reporting Systems

● Experience in a supply chain, logistics, retail and project environment

● Experience in agile methodologies (Advantageous)

● Experience in business requirement specifications

● Experience in Google Cloud Platform, Google Looker Studio or similar platforms and tools

● Experience in Cloud SQL

● Advanced MS Office Skills, particularly Excel and Google Workspace

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Identify, analyse and resolve data queries within the data warehouse environment.

● Perform sophisticated data preparation in order to reduce and shape data.

● Execute data impact studies relating to the on-boarding of new business solutions.

● Identify and manage data development challenges, offer suggestions and implement appropriate solutions.

● Working closely with business to identify Supply Chain optimisation opportunities that have a measurable value statement.

● Guide project scoping, define problem statements, data analysis and solution design.

● Build & visualise data for business users using tools e.g. Google Looker Studio

● Communicate and present analytical findings, results and reports to stakeholders, using data visualisation techniques, to deliver business cases. This will include technical and non-technical audiences.

● Forming part of a team building a digital Supply Chain
