WatersEdge Solutions is hiring a data-driven and analytical Data Analyst to support global finance operations through in-depth client data insights. This is a unique opportunity to work with high-impact financial datasets, directly supporting business development and operational delivery in an international, compliance-focused environment.

About the Role

As a Data Analyst, you’ll assess income and portfolio data from international clients to quantify reclaimable withholding tax and identify optimisation opportunities. Your work will directly support revenue generation and initiate operational processes. You’ll use a combination of analytical rigour, legal reference databases, and business insight to communicate results clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse client income reports with a strong emphasis on output quality
• Quantify claimable amounts using established databases of laws and treaties
• Investigate reclaim service gaps to identify areas of financial opportunity
• Summarise complex findings into clear, actionable insights for multiple stakeholders
• Create operational cases in Salesforce to trigger internal workflows
• Factor in risk to ensure all analyses protect client, custodian, and internal interests
• Understand fund structures and their tax implications
• Stay current with market and industry trends relevant to tax recovery

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in BSc Maths, Statistics, or BCom (or similar)
• Strong academic performance and quantitative reasoning skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• A disciplined, motivated, and team-oriented work style
• Eagerness to learn new software and adapt to evolving processes
