Data Insights Lead

Our client, a leading multinational organisation, is seeking an experienced Data Insights Lead to drive enterprise-wide reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will lead the development of reporting strategies, establish KPI governance frameworks, and deliver actionable insights to executive leadership.

This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in business intelligence, enterprise reporting, data governance, and stakeholder engagement at an executive level.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise reporting and business intelligence function.
• Develop and implement reporting strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Establish KPI frameworks, reporting standards, and governance models across the organisation.
• Design executive dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI and other analytics tools.
• Translate complex business requirements into meaningful insights and reporting solutions.
• Present strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership and senior stakeholders.
• Drive data quality, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with business, finance, IT, and digital teams to deliver enterprise analytics solutions.
• Oversee the development and optimisation of enterprise data models and reporting platforms.
• Mentor and lead high-performing analytics and reporting teams.
• Ensure reporting solutions adhere to governance, compliance, and security standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in business intelligence, enterprise reporting, or data analytics.
• Proven experience leading enterprise reporting or analytics functions.
• Demonstrated experience presenting insights and recommendations to executive leadership teams.
• Strong experience establishing KPI frameworks, reporting standards, and governance models.
• Advanced Power BI development experience.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience working with enterprise data platforms and modern data architecture.
• Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.

• Master's Degree (NQF Level 9)
• MBA with a focus on Analytics or Business Intelligence
• Microsoft Power BI Certification
• Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics Certifications
• Tableau Certification
• Data Governance certifications (DAMA, DCAM)
