Job description
Freedom of Movement is looking for a reliable, hands-on and detail-oriented Distribution Centre Assistant to join our Supply Chain team.
The purpose of this role is to support the smooth and efficient running of the Distribution Centre through accurate stock handling, order fulfilment, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, label and store incoming stock
- Assist with stock takes, cycle counts and inventory checks
- Pick, pack, wrap and prepare orders for delivery
- Ensure stock is accurately identified, labelled and allocated
- Process returns, shipments and stock movements accurately
- Report damaged or missing stock
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock reporting
- Keep the Distribution Centre clean, organised and free from safety hazards
- Follow all relevant health and safety procedures and company SOPs
- Support the wider DC team during busy trading periods and special projects DC Assistant DC Assistant
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent
- 1–2 years’ warehouse experience would be advantageous
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations
- Understanding of stock and inventory management
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform physical/manual work
