Delivery Driver

Job Purpose

We are looking for a reliable, professional and well-spoken Delivery Driver to deliver products to customers safely, efficiently and on time. The successful candidate will represent the company when interacting with customers, receiving departments and warehouse staff and must maintain a professional attitude at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to customers and ensure orders are delivered accurately and on time.
• Load and secure products safely in the delivery vehicle.
• Check delivery documentation against the goods being delivered.
• Obtain signed delivery notes and ensure all delivery documentation is completed correctly.
• Communicate professionally with receiving staff, warehouse personnel and customers.
• Build and maintain good relationships with customers and receiving departments.
• Report any shortages, damages, incorrect deliveries or customer concerns immediately.
• Assist with loading and offloading goods when required.
• Ensure the delivery vehicle is kept clean, safe and in good working condition.
• Conduct basic vehicle checks and report any mechanical or maintenance issues.
• Follow all company, road-safety and health-and-safety procedures.
• Plan delivery routes efficiently and manage delivery schedules.
• Handle company products with care to prevent damage or loss.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Code 8 driver's licence.
• Matric certificate
• Previous delivery or driving experience would be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Cape Town and surrounding areas would be beneficial.
• Good communication skills.
• Well-spoken and professional, with the ability to deal confidently and respectfully with receiving staff and customers.
• Reliable, punctual and responsible.
• Physically fit and able to load and offload goods.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good personal presentation and a customer-service mindset.

The successful candidate will be expected to act as a professional representative of the company whenever interacting with customers, suppliers and receiving personnel.

Pay: R5 000,00 - R8 000,00 per month
