DRIVER & STORE ASSISTANT
Atlas Trading Company – Cape Town
Atlas Trading Company is looking for a reliable, hardworking and responsible individual to join our team as a Driver & Store Assistant.
This is a hybrid position. The successful candidate will carry out deliveries when required and assist with general duties in-store when not on the road.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver customer orders safely and on time
- Load and unload goods for deliveries
- Check orders before leaving for delivery
- Obtain proof of delivery and handle delivery documentation
- Ensure the company vehicle is kept clean and in good condition
- Assist with packing and moving stock
- Assist with general store and warehouse duties
- Assist customers and other staff members when required
- Follow company procedures and health & safety requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Code B South African Driver’s Licence
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP)
- Good and responsible driving record
- Previous driving/delivery experience preferred
- Good knowledge of Cape Town and surrounding areas
- Physically fit and able to lift and move stock
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Good communication skills
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Willing to perform general store duties when not making deliveries
WORKING HOURS
Monday – Friday: 8:15 AM – 5:15 PM
Saturday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
SALARY
R6,825.00 per month
PLEASE NOTE
This is not a driving-only position.
The successful applicant will be required to work both in-store and as a delivery driver, depending on the operational requirements of the business.
