Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and energetic Driver & Warehouse Assistant to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role that combines warehouse operations with delivery duties. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving stock, maintaining an organised warehouse, assisting with deliveries, and supporting the warehouse team with day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Offloading Stock

• Assist with offloading containers and supplier deliveries.
• Check incoming stock against delivery notes.
• Report damaged, incorrect, or missing items immediately.
• Safely move stock into the warehouse.

Packing & Putaway

• Pack stock into the correct warehouse bin locations.
• Ensure products are stored neatly, safely, and in their designated locations.
• Assist with organising warehouse inventory.
• Report any stock or storage issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Driving & Deliveries

• Deliver goods to customers and suppliers as required.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles safely.
• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
• Conduct basic daily vehicle checks and report any issues.
• Maintain a clean and roadworthy company vehicle.
• Follow all road safety regulations and company driving policies.

Warehouse Organisation & Housekeeping

• Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and organised.
• Ensure aisles and work areas remain clear and safe.
• Assist with general housekeeping and cleaning duties.

General Warehouse Support

• Assist with picking and packing customer orders when required.
• Assist with labelling and basic administrative tasks.
• Support other warehouse activities as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.
• Follow all company procedures and health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Valid South African Code 8 (or higher) driver's licence with a clean driving record.
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience will be advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move stock safely.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Good attention to detail.
• Able to work well as part of a team.
• Willing to assist wherever required within the warehouse.
• Good communication skills in English.
