Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent National Qualifications Framework (NQF) level - Proven experience in stock control and inventory management - Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred - Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts as required - Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Proficiency in analyzing reports and making data-driven decisions - High level of personal discipline regarding attendance, dress code, and timekeeping - Customer service orientation with ability to anticipate and meet customer needs - Commitment to maintaining hygiene and safety standards in the workplace
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee end-of-day stock management, ensuring accurate counting, replenishment, and removal of expired products.
- Analyze stock reports thoroughly and confirm all stock transactions are completed before end of day.
- Implement and manage price changes and carry over stock adjustments efficiently.
- Conduct temperature checks and ensure hygiene and safety standards in the department are consistently maintained.
- Manage security processes during end-of-day shifts to maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate end-of-day tasks, delegate responsibilities to team members, and ensure timely task completion.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer needs and maintaining product knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with shop-keeping disciplines and oversee deep cleaning of refrigeration units.
- Monitor stock shrinkage, report any dishonest acts, and apply loss prevention procedures.
- Demonstrate leadership through personal discipline, punctuality, and adherence to company dress code and policies.
