Job description
Job Title: Depot Manager
Reports to: Operations Manager
Location: Kya Sands
Purpose of the role:
To manage daily operations of the Depot, ensuring efficient and safe handling of LPG, including filling, packed gas, storage and distribution. Managing staff, stock control and adherence to safety and regulatory standards (HSSEQ)
Key Responsibilities:
· Operational Management:
Managing the overall operations of the Depot, including filling plant, loading, offloading, Storage, distribution of cylinders and performance thereof.
· Safety and Compliance:
Ensuring all operations are conducted in accordance with safety regulation and company policies.
· Stock Control and Accuracy:
Maintaining accurate inventory of the product (LPG cylinders), managing stock levels and minimizing losses or gains within acceptable tolerances.
Record, monitor and reconcile daily stock movement.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies (variances, imbalances if any) Maintain accurate book stock and ensure system integrity
· Maintenance and repairs:
Ensure the depot equipment, including filling lines, storage tanks and other infrastructure, are well maintained and in good working order.
· Customer Service:
Addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues related to LPG supply and delivery.
· Business Development:
Identify new business opportunities and building relationships with clients.
· Procurement:
Procurement of goods services for the Depot based on procurement policies.
· Staff management
Oversee and managing depot staff, including training, performance management and ensuring adherence to procedures.
· Finance management:
Ensure cash sales are reconciled and banked daily.
· Documentation and Reporting:
Records Management: Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, fuel volumes, stock levels, and safety inspections. This documentation is crucial for operational audits and regulatory compliance.
Reporting: Prepare and submit daily, weekly, or monthly reports to senior management, including stock levels, operational efficiency, safety performance, and any issues encountered during operations.

· 3-5 years relevant experience as Depot Manager
· LPG experience essential
· Degree/Diploma in Operations Management, Logistic, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Business Administration fields with understanding of Health and Safety regulations
