We are seeking a Depot Sales Consultant

ROLE PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to promote and grow the company’s hygiene and cleaning solutions business by acquiring new customers, maintaining strong client relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth.

The Depot Sales Consultant is responsible for identifying sales opportunities, managing the sales process from prospecting to closure, and ensuring excellent customer service and client retention. The incumbent will actively promote the company’s full hygiene solutions offering while maintaining professional relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

Educational Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate (essential)
• Diploma or qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3–5 years proven sales experience, preferably within the hygiene, cleaning, facilities management, or related industry
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Experience in business development, cold calling, and account management
• Experience working with CRM systems and sales reporting tools

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer relationship management abilities
• Good administrative and Organisational skills
• Ability to prepare quotations, contracts, and related sales documentation accurately
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer systems
• Strong planning, time management, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Sales & Business Development

• Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets through new business acquisition and upselling opportunities
• Source leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, prospecting, and market research
• Conduct customer visits and sales presentations to promote the company’s hygiene solutions and value-added services
• Negotiate and conclude profitable contracts with new and existing clients
• Continuously identify opportunities to grow market share and revenue

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Re-sign and retain existing customers through excellent service and ongoing relationship management
• Conduct regular customer follow-ups and after-sales support
• Resolve customer queries, complaints, and cancellations professionally and efficiently
• Perform routine site visits and quality checks to ensure client satisfaction and service excellence

Sales Administration & Reporting

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all sales-related documentation, including contracts, quotations, service agreements, and installation forms
• Maintain an accurate and updated sales pipeline
• Keep CRM systems updated with customer information and sales activities
• Submit weekly call sheets, activity reports, and monthly pipeline reports
• Track contract end dates and proactively engage clients for renewals and retention opportunities

Product & Market Knowledge

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, competitors, and industry trends
• Promote the company’s complete hygiene solutions offering effectively
• Conduct customer education sessions and awareness initiatives where required

Internal Collaboration

• Work closely with Operations and Administration teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery
• Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders throughout the sales process
• Assist with branch-related duties and projects as reasonably assigned
