MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To support the Nursing Manager in leading and coordinating safe, quality patient care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Support the Nursing Manager to achieve quality patient care in line with the hospital operational goals and objectives
Manage patient risks to achieve patient safety in line with specified clinical outcomes
Ensure a positive patient experience in line with corporate benchmarks
Ensure optimal utilisation of a competent and engaged workforce and other resources in line with the relevant company guidelines
Lead and manage direct reports
Establish and manage key stakeholder relationships to achieve integrated patient care and positive clinical outcomes
Required Education ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Degree/diploma in nursing, Appropriate leadership/management qualification
DESIRED EDUCATION: Discipline-specific qualification
Required Experience ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years experience in a supervisory position, e.g. Unit Manager
DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 2 – 3 years experience in a supervisory position within a specialised unit
