Job Advert Summary

Responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of forestry, harvesting, trucks, and support equipment, ensuring high standards of safety, reliability, and vehicle condition. The role requires a Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic with N3/Red Seal, 5+ years’ experience, a valid driver’s licence, and knowledge of heavy-duty/forestry equipment. Must be physically fit, safety-focused, able to work under pressure and outdoors, and willing to perform standby duties.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic with an N3/Red Seal qualification
• 5 years relevant experience
• Valid driver`s license, code 14 will be an advantage, at least 5 years driving experience
• Ability to prioritize
• Physically Fit
• Ability to work outdoors and in all weather conditions
• Be able to work under intense pressure
• Ability to work in a fast and dynamic environment
• Knowledge of Harvesting Equipment
• Knowledge of Bell 3 Wheelers
• Knowledge of Tigercat and Logmax Forestry equipment will be an Advantage
• Knowledge on Trucks. Renault Kerax, Iveco,Hino and Mercedes will be an advantage
• Good team player
• Standby duties
• Knowledge of Toyota Land Cruisers and Hi-Lux LDV`s, Fire Tenders and Harvesting Machines
• Clean Criminal record
• Basic firefighting will be an advantage

Duties & Responsibilities

• Doing scheduled maintenance on equipment
• Doing scheduled services on equipment
• Maintain high standards of vehicle condition
• Risk/Safety/FSC
• Administration
• Liaison with machine operators
• To ensure the safekeeping of company assets under one’s control at all times
• Assist stores with stock take from time to time
• Carry out any other reasonable instructions from management
