Job description

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical support for desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, support end users, and ensure the smooth operation of workplace technology.

Responsibilities

Provide first- and second-level desktop support to end users via phone, email, remote, and onsite.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and application issues.
Install, configure, and support Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
Create, manage, and maintain user accounts, passwords, and permissions in Active Directory.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, and DHCP.
Install software updates, security patches, and antivirus solutions.
Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service levels.
Document technical issues, resolutions, and asset information in the IT ticketing system.
Configure and deploy new desktops, laptops, and mobile devices for employees.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and health checks on end-user devices.
Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and equipment records.
Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
Follow IT security policies and best practices to ensure system integrity.

Pay: R1 140,00 - R1 250,00 per day
