1. POSITION PURPOSE
Manages the fast-paced dispatch floor and loading bay operations, ensuring finished snack products are picked accurately, loaded securely, and dispatched to meet strict On-Time In-Full (OTIF) metrics.
2. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs) & RESPONSIBILITIES
KPA 1: Outbound Logistics Management
Oversee the entire dispatch process from order picking to vehicle loading, ensuring operations align with daily sales demands and transport schedules.
KPA 2: Team Supervision & Shift Control
Manage a diverse team of clerks, warehouse staff, and drivers. Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs), manage shift rosters, and maintain strict floor discipline.
KPA 3: Route Optimization & Execution
Plan optimal delivery routes to minimize turnaround times and transport costs. Conduct spot-checks to verify picking accuracy against delivery notes prior to loading.
KPA 4: Loading Bay Health & Safety
Maintain absolute adherence to OHSA standards in the loading bay. Ensure safe forklift operation, enforce PPE usage, and keep the yard clear of hazards.
3. ROLE REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES
Education: Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Management preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years supervisory experience in an FMCG warehousing or dispatch environment.
System Expertise: Proficiency in ERP inventory systems and fleet tracking software.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of OHSA and basic road freight regulations.
Driver’s License: Valid Code B driver's license (Forklift license advantageous).
Core Competencies: Authoritative leadership, rapid problem-solving, stamina for floor work, and strong logistical planning.
