Reports To: Brand & Marketing Lead
Location: Johannesburg
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

About Destinations by Frasers
Destinations is in the middle of a full brand reboot. We've spent years being a luggage store. We're done with that.
We've reorganised everything around the seven journeys South Africans actually live - Holiday, Weekend, Everyday, Business, Wellness, The Outdoors, and Gifting. Our brand is built around community, storytelling, and a simple belief: this store exists because of you.
The Role
This is a hands-on execution role sitting at the centre of the DB rebrand. You'll work directly with the Brand & Marketing Lead to bring the 7 Worlds framework to life across content, social, email, and campaign delivery.
We're a lean team which means you'll have real ownership from day one. You'll be briefed clearly, trusted to deliver, and given work that matters. There's no hiding in a department here.
What You'll Do
Content & Social
- Own the day-to-day content calendar across Instagram and other active platforms
- Create, schedule, and publish content aligned to the 7 Worlds brand framework
- Support the migration and consolidation of @destinationsbyfrasers and @destinationsoutdoortravel
- Manage UGC collection and community engagement under the #WhereAreYouHeaded campaign
- Coordinate brand-supplied asset delivery from supplier partners including Delsey, Eastpak, Kipling, KleanKanteen, Fenn and more.
Campaign Execution
- Execute campaign briefs across Foundation, Pre-Launch, and Launch phases of the rebrand rollout
- Support Meta paid media campaign coordination alongside the Brand & Marketing Lead
- Coordinate assets, deadlines, and approvals across internal workstreams (VM, e-commerce, merch)
In-Store & Retail Marketing
- Support the in-store rebrand rollout across the store network from collateral production briefs to installation coordination
- Manage seasonal collateral swap-outs aligned to retail moments (holiday, gifting, new season drops) - briefing suppliers, tracking production timelines, and ensuring stores receive assets on time
- Coordinate in-store marketing events including brand activations, product launches, and community-focused events
- Work closely with the VM and store operations team to ensure in-store brand expression is consistent with the digital and campaign world
- The Namibia new-build is the first store in a broader rollout - you'll be helping build the in-store playbook that scales across the network
Email, CRM & Database Management
- Schedule and quality-check all outgoing emailers - ensuring content is correct, links work, segmentation is right, and send times are on brief
- Manage and maintain the customer database - keeping segments clean, updated, and aligned to the 7 Worlds framework
- Coordinate with the e-commerce team on technical CRM setup, flow triggers, and list health
- Support post-purchase automation sequences and campaign-specific sends tied to product launches and retail moments
Launch & Events
- Play an active role in executing the Namibia flagship store opening in September 2025 - the first new-build in the network and the anchor for the full rebrand launch
- As the store rollout expands, help build and refine a repeatable in-store launch playbook for future openings
- Support community event coverage including expos, pop-ups, and brand activations
- Help maintain in-store community board content across the store network
Reporting & Administration
- Track and report on content and campaign performance across platforms
- Maintain the content library, asset bank, and supplier asset tracker
- Keep the marketing task tracker up to date and flag blockers proactively
What We're Looking For
Experience & Skills
- 2–4 years of experience in a brand, marketing, or content coordination role
- Strong working knowledge of Instagram and Meta platforms (organic and paid)
- Comfortable producing and scheduling content - you don't wait to be spoon-fed briefs
- Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders and workstreams
- Solid copywriting ability - you can write in a brand voice, not just your own
- Proficiency in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage
- Familiarity with email/CRM tools (Mailchimp or similar)
The Kind of Person You Are
- Execution-obsessed - you close loops, you don't leave things open
- Proactive - you spot what needs doing before you're asked
- Organised under pressure - the rebrand timeline is real and the deadlines matter
- Brand-literate - you understand that everything is the brand, down to how you write a WhatsApp
- SA market savvy - you understand the cultural nuance of who we're talking to
Advantageous
- Experience in retail or lifestyle brand marketing
- Exposure to paid Meta campaign management
- Background in travel, outdoor, or fashion/accessories categories
What We Offer
- A front-row seat to a full brand reboot - this is rare, meaningful work
- Direct access to senior leadership and real creative input into execution
- A lean, driven team that trusts you to own your lane
- The Namibia flagship launch as your first major milestone - and the beginning of a multi-store rollout you'll help shape
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience
- Staff Discount on brands within Destinations Portfolio
