Minimum of a matric level of education and diesel Mechanic

Trade Test Advantageous

Computer literate (MS Office)

Excellent communication skills

Ability to communicate in English and isiZulu is essential

Proven ability to work proactively and without supervision as part of a team in a disciplined manner using initiative

Proven experience working with heavy-duty trucks, yellow equipment’s, forklift’s, Ett pusher, or similar commercial vehicles is advantageous

Prepared to perform shift work, overtime, and duty weekends

Valid code 8 driver’s license

Duties and Responsibilities

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, diagnostic reports.

Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory and company standards.

Ability to work on-site, manage time effectively, and collaborate with operations and Gearstore, Operation teams.

Apply established service procedures and policies to ensure repairs are completed safely, accurately, and in line with workshop Automotive /Heavy duty earth moving machine quality standards.

Promote a strong safety culture by following Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, promptly reporting hazards or incidents, and helping to ensure a safe workplace for all team members.

To ensure operational equipment is in satisfactory working order
