Job description
VACANCY: DIESEL MECHANIC
Location: Boksburg
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team based in Boksburg.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, servicing and repairs on trucks and company vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out the necessary repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure fleet reliability and minimise downtime.
- Attend to breakdowns and after-hours call-outs when required.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company safety standards and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
- Extensive knowledge of truck and diesel engine maintenance and repairs.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Willingness to attend emergency call-outs and work overtime when required.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must have sober habits and a strong work ethic.
