Job description
- Generator repairs, services and maintenance.
- Competence in repairing generator engine components
- Carrying out routine service on the engine, including oil and filter changes.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Understanding of a safe work environment
- Write detailed inspection reports and repair plans
- Practice housekeeping and a safe work environment
- Capability of working as a team and as an individual
- Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12.
- Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working on generator.
Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes:
- Ability to solve problems
- Good fault finding
- Basic electrical skills
- Ability to work independently and as a collective
- Ability to work under pressure and influence effectively
- Basic computer skills
- ASE Diesel certification advantageous
- Valid driver’s license (C1)
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: From R17 000,00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Krugersdorp, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- Diesel mechanic on Generators: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Code c1 (Preferred)
Willingness to travel:
- 75% (Preferred)
Work Location: On the road
