Other Hospitality and Outdoor – New Vacancy – Diesel Mechanic Our client, a prestigious game lodge in Eastern Cape , is seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanic with strong diagnostic, repair and preventative maintenance experience who is looking to build a career within the luxury hospitality and game lodge industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the lodge’s vehicles, machinery and equipment, ensuring that all mechanical operations remain safe, reliable and efficient. Experience with diesel vehicles, heavy machinery, agricultural equipment, hydraulic systems and electrical systems will be highly advantageous.

Job Requirements

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic with a recognised Trade Test – Essential
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant post-trade experience
• Previous experience working on diesel vehicles, heavy machinery, trucks or agricultural equipment
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good knowledge of diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems
• Valid driver’s licence
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong understanding of workshop safety and maintenance standards

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and mechanical faults
• Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance
• Maintain and repair lodge vehicles, machinery and equipment
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding
• Inspect equipment and identify potential mechanical issues
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Ensure repairs meet required quality and manufacturer standards
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment
• Assist with breakdowns and emergency repairs when required
• Follow all health, safety and company procedures

Package

• Salary negotiable and based on CTC and experience
• Accommodation provided during work cycle
