Job description

INDUSTRY: CIVIL CONSTRUCTION

We’re looking for a DIESEL MECHANIC with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to join our team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

5 years’ experience working on plant and Earthmoving equipment
Compulsory Trade certificate - Diesel Mechanic
Strong Knowledge of Diesel Engines, Hydraulic systems, Auto electrical systems
Experience with equipment such as; Excavators, Loaders, Graders, Tipper Trucks, etc
Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret fault codes
Valid code 10/14 drivers license

RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults on diesel powered machinery.
Attend to breakdowns (workshop and site based) and minimise equipment downtime.
Willingness to travel to various project sites

ADVANTAGE

Experience working for civil contractors or plant hire companies.
Position based: Krugersdorp / West Rand
Start: As soon as possible
