Diesel Mechanic

Location: Western Cape or willing to relocate

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Heavy Duty Auto Electrician to take on a supervisory / team leader position.
This role is ideal for someone skilled in diagnostics and electrical systems, with the ability to manage a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise electrical workshop operations
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy-duty vehicles
• Oversee installations, wiring, and system upgrades
• Plan and allocate work to team members
• Ensure quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met
• Assist with complex fault-finding and technical support

Minimum Requirements (Must Have)

• 8+ years of experience as a heavy-duty auto electrician
• Relevant trade certificate
• Proven experience in a supervisory / team leader role
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
• Contactable references
• Based in the Western Cape OR willing to relocate

Advantageous Skills (Highly Beneficial)

• Experience working with vehicle and engine systems from:

Cummins, MAN, Scania, Iveco

• Experience on emergency vehicles
• Exposure to vehicle refurbishments and rebuilds
• Experience with automatic transmission systems, especially:

Caterpillar and Allison (electrical diagnostics & programming)

• Knowledge or certification in CANBus systems/programming
