Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Diesel Mechanic role based in Hazyview. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered vehicles and heavy equipment used in farm and logistics operations. Daily tasks include performing routine and preventive maintenance, conducting fault-finding on engines and hydraulic systems, and completing service records and maintenance logs. The role involves responding to breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime, and working closely with the operations team to prioritize repairs. The Diesel Mechanic will also help maintain a safe, organized workshop and adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong Diesel Mechanics skills with experience in
• diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems.
• Vehicle Maintenance skills covering service, repair,
• and troubleshooting of light and medium-duty vehicles.
• Equipment Maintenance skills for agricultural and industrial machinery, including basic electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Heavy Equipment maintenance experience, including servicing tractors, loaders, trucks, or similar machinery.
• Preventive Maintenance capabilities, including scheduled servicing, inspections, and accurate record-keeping.Relevant trade qualification or certification in diesel
• mechanics or automotive engineering.
• Previous experience as a diesel or heavy equipment
• mechanic, preferably in farming, construction, or transport environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals,
• diagrams, and service documentation.
• Commitment to workplace safety, with knowledge of applicable safety standards and practices.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as within a team.

Pay: From R6 000,00 per month
