Diesel Mechanic

📍 Location: The Netherlands — On-site

🕓 Type: Full-time | 40 hours per week

🚛 Industry: Automotive | Commercial Vehicles | Transport & Logistics

Are you an experienced Diesel Mechanic with experience working on trucks and commercial vehicles such as Scania, Volvo, DAF, Mercedes-Benz, or Iveco? We are looking for skilled professionals to join leading workshops in the Netherlands and build a long-term career in a modern, international environment.

What you'll be doing

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy commercial vehicles
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults
Service diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension systems, and drivetrains
Use manufacturer diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve technical issues
Conduct inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety and roadworthiness standards
Replace and repair components such as injectors, turbos, clutches, gearboxes, and engine systems
Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately
Work according to manufacturer specifications and workshop quality standards

What you bring

Qualified Diesel Mechanic/Auto Electrician, or equivalent trade qualification
2–5 years of experience working on heavy commercial vehicles
Experience with one or more of the following brands (Scania, Volvo, DAF,Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Iveco)
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Experience using diagnostic equipment and fault-finding software
Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Fluent in English (Afrikaans is highly advantageous)
Valid driver's license and passport
Willingness to relocate to the Netherlands

What we offer

2-year contract (40 hours per week)
Gross salary of approximately €4,300 per month
25 paid holidays per year (+ potential ADV days)
Up to 7 paid public holidays per year
Holiday allowance of 8.33% of gross annual salary (paid in May)
Overtime and shift allowances paid accordingly
Travel allowance of €0.23 per km (home–work travel)
Full relocation guidance and support
