Role Overview

The Digital Content & Community Creator will be responsible for planning, creating, publishing and optimising Stage Zero’s organic content across social media and digital content channels. The role will own the monthly organic content calendar, produce platform-native social content, support long-form SEO and thought-leadership content, and actively manage Stage Zero’s online community across key social platforms.

This person will play a key role in growing Stage Zero’s brand visibility, improving organic search performance, building trust through educational content, amplifying customer stories, and strengthening the company’s reputation as a leader in smart solar and energy management.

The Digital Content Creator will report directly to the Digital Marketing Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Organic Social Media Planning & Execution

  • Own the monthly organic content calendar across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and X where relevant.
  • Plan and publish content aligned to campaigns, product launches, promotions, customer stories, installation milestones, education themes and business priorities.
  • Create platform-native content formats including short-form video, reels, carousels, static posts, stories and behind-the-scenes content.
  • Maintain a consistent brand tone, visual style and content rhythm across all platforms.

Long-Form Content & SEO Support

  • Support the development of monthly blog content, SEO articles and educational content for the Stage Zero website.
  • Assist in creating LinkedIn opinion pieces and thought-leadership content for Stage Zero and key business leaders.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to align content topics to SEO priorities, keyword opportunities, search intent and campaign themes.
  • Repurpose long-form content into social posts, email snippets, carousels and short-form video scripts.

Community Management

  • Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, mentions and tags across Stage Zero’s social media platforms.
  • Engage with followers in a professional, helpful and brand-appropriate manner.
  • Identify positive customer stories, testimonials, reviews and user-generated content that can be amplified.
  • Flag negative sentiment, reputation risks or recurring customer concerns to the relevant internal teams.
  • Support review-generation and advocacy campaigns across Google, Facebook, Hellopeter and Trustpilot where required.
  • Customer & Internal Storytelling
  • Work with Sales, Operations, Installations, Support and Customer Success teams to source real customer stories and installation content.
  • Coordinate photo, video and testimonial opportunities with customers and internal teams.
  • Help build a library of approved customer content, installation visuals, FAQs, educational themes and brand proof points.
  • Translate technical product and energy topics into simple, customer-friendly content.
  • Performance & Optimisation
  • Track organic content performance across reach, engagement, follower growth, traffic
  • referrals, content saves, shares, comments and sentiment.
  • Provide monthly performance insights and recommendations.
  • Identify high-performing content formats and themes.
  • Use performance data to improve future content planning.

Minimum Requirements

Experience & Skills

  • Matric Certificate essential
  • 5 – 7 years’ experience creating content for social media (brand or agency)
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, YouTube and LinkedIn best practices
  • Proven ability to create engaging short-form content (static + video)
  • Confident copywriting skills for social captions
  • Experience using content creation and editing tools
  • Basic SEO Understanding
  • Community Management Experience and Exposure
