Purpose of Role

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and digitally savvy Digital Design and Multimedia Production Officer to help shape how AGGPSA is experienced across platforms, convenings, publications, and campaigns.

This role sits within the Strategic Communication and Convening function and is ideal for someone who combines strong design capability with a passion for visual storytelling. You will translate complex ideas, research findings, ecosystem insights, and impact stories into engaging content that informs, inspires, and influences diverse audiences.

Objectives of Role

Visual Design and Brand Stewardship

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing high-quality reports, presentations, publications, infographics, social media assets, and event collateral.
  • Ensuring consistent application of AGGPSA's visual identity across all communication channels.
  • Developing and maintaining branded templates, design assets, and visual systems.
  • Supporting the delivery of creative concepts that strengthen AGGPSA's positioning and visibility.

Multimedia and Content Production

Responsibilities include:

  • Producing compelling digital content including short-form videos, reels, animations, graphics, and visual stories.
  • Capturing and editing photography and video content at events, convenings, workshops, and ecosystem engagements.
  • Packaging event highlights and learning moments into engaging digital content.
  • Supporting podcast and multimedia storytelling initiatives.

Digital and Social Media Content

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining social media content calendars.
  • Creating platform-specific content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and YouTube
  • Monitoring audience engagement and supporting online community interactions.
  • Analysing content performance and recommending improvements.

Creative Collaboration

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with teams across AGGPSA to transform research, insights, and programme outcomes into visually compelling content.
  • Support the design and production of materials for strategic convenings, ecosystem dialogues, learning events, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Contribute to innovative ways of communicating entrepreneurship ecosystem insights and impact.

Agency and Vendor Collaboration

Responsibilities include:

  • Briefing external creative and campaign agencies and serving as the in-house point of contact for outsourced design and campaign work
  • Reviewing and quality-assuring agency deliverables against brand guidelines, brief, and deadlines
  • Producing quick-turnaround assets in-house to reduce cost and reliance on agencies
  • Maintaining shared brand assets and briefing templates so that agencies and internal teams work from a single, consistent source.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Digital Media Design, Multimedia Applications, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Information Design, a related field, or equivalent demonstrable experience and a strong portfolio.
  • 3–5 years' experience in digital design, multimedia production, or visual communication.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative design and multimedia capability.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and other relevant design tools.
  • Experience designing for both digital and print environments.
  • Photography, videography, and video editing skills will be advantageous.
  • Understanding of social media content creation and audience engagement.
  • Familiarity with Canva, Figma and data-visualisation or information-design tools is an advantage
