Career Growth Hospitality Recruitment is looking for an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to join one of Cape Town's leading luxury hospitality properties.
This is a senior executive opportunity for a commercially driven hospitality professional who can combine strategic sales leadership with luxury brand management. Working closely with the General Manager and Executive Committee, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening the hotel's market position, leading the Sales & Marketing team, and delivering exceptional commercial results across Rooms, Food & Beverage and Spa.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the annual Sales & Marketing strategy
- Drive revenue growth across all market segments
- Lead strategic sales initiatives for leisure, corporate, MICE, group and international markets
- Work closely with Revenue Management to maximise commercial performance
- Develop and grow Food & Beverage and Spa revenue through innovative campaigns
- Oversee all brand, marketing, digital, PR and communications activities
- Manage relationships with key travel partners, luxury consortia and international trade partners
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows and stakeholder meetings
- Prepare and present commercial performance reports and strategic plans to senior leadership
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing Sales & Marketing team
- Manage departmental budgets and marketing investment to maximise return on investment
Requirements
- Minimum 8–10 years' experience in luxury hospitality Sales & Marketing
- At least 3 years' experience in a Director or senior commercial leadership role
- Proven luxury hotel experience is essential
- Strong track record of achieving revenue and commercial targets
- Excellent knowledge of luxury travel markets, international trade and key source markets
- Experience with luxury brand management, PR and digital marketing
- Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with Opera PMS, Salesforce or similar CRM systems, GDS platforms and digital analytics
- Relevant qualification in Marketing, Business, Hospitality or Communications preferred
- South African citizen, permanent resident or valid South African work authorisation required
