Dispatch Assistant

Dispatch Assistant / Driver is responsible for supporting daily dispatch operations while ensuring the safe and timely collection and delivery of goods. This role involves preparing orders for dispatch, maintaining accurate records, loading and unloading vehicles, and providing excellent customer service during deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and coordinating daily dispatch activities.
• Pick, pack, check, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
• Load and unload goods safely and securely.
• Deliver and collect goods according to scheduled routes.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
• Obtain proof of delivery (POD) and submit completed documentation.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any faults or maintenance requirements.
• Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the company vehicle.
• Verify stock and delivery documentation before leaving the warehouse.
• Assist with stock control and report any shortages or damaged items.
• Track deliveries and communicate any delays or issues to the dispatch team.
• Ensure compliance with road traffic regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe dispatch area.
• Assist with general warehouse and dispatch duties when not on deliveries
