Dispatch Supervisor

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate pickers, callers, boxers, double checkers, inspectors and team leaders.
• Plan daily workloads and ensure departmental KPIs and targets are achieved.
• Prioritise loads and liaise with Logistics regarding truck availability.
• Ensure accurate picking, checking, labelling, packing and inspection of all orders.
• Ensure damaged, incorrect or missing stock is identified and reported.
• Monitor stock discrepancies and conduct daily checks on Sage Pastel for negative stock.
• Ensure stock queries, barcode issues and damaged stock are resolved promptly.
• Oversee the loading process and ensure all loads leave with the correct invoice and loading documentation.
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality and daily exceptions.
• Ensure staff report lateness or absence by 07:30 and maintain accurate attendance records.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and housekeeping within the despatch area.
• Prepare monthly reports relating to errors, deductions, attendance and operational performance.
• Ensure all departmental procedures and company policies are consistently followed.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Previous experience in despatch, warehousing or logistics.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Computer literate; Sage Pastel experience advantageous.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay: R10 000,00 - R12 000,00 per month
