Duties & Responsibilities

Manage and lead a portfolio of healthcare catering contracts across the Eastern Cape. Ensure consistent delivery of contractual obligations, client expectations, and operational standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, hospital management teams, and key stakeholders. Drive financial performance through budget management, cost control, forecasting, and profitability improvement. Lead, mentor, and develop Catering Managers and site management teams. Monitor labour utilisation, productivity, and workforce planning. Manage recruitment activities, succession planning, and employee retention initiatives. Reduce staff turnover through effective people management and engagement strategies. Ensure compliance with healthcare audit requirements, food safety standards, quality systems, and legislative requirements. Conduct regular site visits, operational reviews, and performance assessments. Drive customer satisfaction, service excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support mobilisations, contract renewals, and business growth opportunities.### Skills and Competencies

Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior Contract Catering Management role Previous Healthcare Catering experience is essential Proven experience managing multiple sites within a contract catering environment Strong financial and commercial management skills Experience managing budgets, P&Ls, labour costs, and operational efficiencies Demonstrated success in managing demanding and high-volume portfolios Strong stakeholder and client relationship management skills Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, and staff turnover Sound knowledge of healthcare audits, food safety standards, and compliance requirements Exceptional leadership, coaching, and people management capabilities Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively within the Eastern Cape Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, Business Management, or related field
