The Role The Domestic Cleaner is responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning services while fostering respectful and positive interactions with clients, their families, staff, and others, always reflecting Amana Living’s Core Values. This role is being offered on a Casual basis, driving to different clients’ homes throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities Cleaning Services
- Deliver a high standard of cleaning across clients' homes to maintain a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment.
- Follow individual care plans to ensure consistent and hygienic cleaning, helping reduce the risk of infection.
- Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment supplied by Amana Living, in line with the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and product instructions.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines, including the correct and consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Understand and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to ensure safe handling, application, and disposal of cleaning chemicals.
Safety & Compliance
- Comply with Amana Living’s Support at Home policies and procedures.
- Follow infection control standards and safe work practices at all times.
- Support and promote occupational health and safety compliance in line with Amana Living’s regulations.
- Ensure timely reporting of any incidents or hazards as per procedures.
Personal Conduct & Development
- Engage respectfully and professionally with clients, their families, staff, and others in the work environment, demonstrating Amana Living’s Core Values.
- Attend mandatory training sessions and staff meetings as required by the Hospitality Consultant.
- Take responsibility for improving work practices and contributing to personal and professional development.
About You You are a reliable and professional individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality cleaning services while building positive relationships with clients, their families, and team members. With a professional presentation, proactive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, you contribute to a supportive and efficient work environment.
Essential Criteria
- Evidence of Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
- Successful completion of pre-employment form and reference checks
- Valid WA Driver’s License
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, as required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills are essential with strong customer service skills.
- Sensitivity and maturity to provide personal care to another person(s)
