Draughtsman

VACANCY: REVIT DRAUGHTSMAN

The Draughtsman is responsible for producing accurate production drawings for Hollow Core Slabs and other precast products, as well as supporting structural steel procurement. The role ensures that all drawings are precise, complete, and aligned with design specifications to facilitate efficient production and project execution.

Minimum Requirements

· Grade 12 (Matric)

· Relevant Revit and AutoCAD certification and demonstrated practical experience.

· Ability to read, interpret, and understand structural and architectural drawings.

· 3–5 years’ experience working as a Draughtsman

· 2–3 years’ proven experience working with Revit

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Fully bilingual in English (Speak, Read & Write)

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

1. Technical Drafting Proficiency: Strong capability in producing accurate production drawings using Revit and AutoCAD, specifically for hollow core slab fabrication and structural steel detailing support.

2. High Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in drawing interpretation, measurement verification, and ensuring compliance with structural and architectural specifications.

3. Analytical & Problem-Solving Ability: Able to identify design inconsistencies, production constraints, and technical challenges, with the ability to implement practical and efficient solutions.

4. Self-Managed & Proactive Approach: Able to work independently, take initiative, and manage drawing deliverables without constant supervision while meeting strict deadlines.

5. Time Management & Performance Under Pressure: Capable of prioritising multiple drawing projects simultaneously and delivering high-quality output within tight production timelines.

6. Collaboration & Communication Skills: Strong ability to work effectively with engineers, production teams, procurement, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of technical requirements.

7. Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing and production environment with shifting priorities and urgent design changes.

8. System & Software Competence: Strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office applications to support accurate drafting, documentation, and reporting.

1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07h30 – 16h00

2. Transport Requirement: A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport are required for this position.
