Key Responsibilities

The Driver Will Be Responsible For

• Ensuring that the LEGCO fleet is clean and roadworthy.
• Checking vehicle requirements and maintaining accurate vehicle records and logbooks.
• Managing vehicle servicing and maintenance schedules and reporting any faults.
• Ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers, assisting with luggage, and representing the company professionally.
• Acting as a Messenger by safely collecting and delivering official documents, parcels, and mail while maintaining dispatch records.
• Driving office vehicles for the transportation of authorized personnel and for the delivery and collection of official goods and cargo.
• Ensuring compliance with LEGCO procedures in the event of accidents and emergencies.
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitoring oil and water levels, checking tyre pressure, and ensuring routine servicing is carried out.
• Supporting office registry functions and messaging services.
• Distributing correspondence and official materials to appropriate persons and offices.
• Providing logistical support to the Administration Officer for workshops, meetings, and events.
• Ensuring compliance with traffic laws and maintaining adequate vehicle fuel levels at all times.

Job Specifications and Requirements

Applicants Must Meet One Of The Following Minimum Qualifications

• COSC Certificate plus a valid Driver’s Licence and Defensive Driving Certificate, with at least five (5) years of driving experience.

OR

• Standard 7 Certificate plus a valid Driver’s Licence and Defensive Driving Certificate, with at least ten (10) years of driving experience.

Additional Requirements

• A standard pass from the Assessment Test conducted by the Department of Traffic and Transport is a prerequisite.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
